3 years old baby with dengue and the mother 9 months pregnant(Previous Cesarian) at children's ward..mother started having labor pains suddenly...was being followed up in govt hospital..can not afford treament at private hospital(ofcourse we offered assistance)..alcoholic abusive husband who wanted to give baby to someone else..only supporting sister 20 km away...what could we have done?..ultimately contacted her sister who insisted on Govt hospital and so we transferred her in our ambulance...but doctors there sent her to Mangalore because they thought it was premature baby(!)...babywas alone in the ward with no on to attend...It was touchig to see a ward worker taking the baby on her lap and taking him around hospital...sometimes it could be a real cruel world out there...I can not forget the helpless tears in mother's eyes when she was being shifted to Govt Hospital leaving here baby alone..
